Authorizing
Non-Enforcement of All Parking Meters During Holiday Season,
Thanksgiving Day Thru New Year's Day.
&
Non-Enforcement of All
Beach Block, Atlantic Avenue and Residential Parking Meters Off-Season,
October 1st thru May 31st.
WHEREAS, Resolution
129 of 1990 adopted November 16, 1990 by the Governing Body of the City
of Ventnor, set forth the non-enforcement and suspension of parking
meter regulations at specific location and season described; and
WHEREAS, the Ventnor
City Board of Commissioners are desirous of amending Resolution No. 129
of 1990 to read as following:
There shall be suspension of
police enforcement of parking meter regulations throughout Ventnor City,
including the Municipal Parking Lot, during the Holiday Season beginning
Thanksgiving Day through the New Year's Day, following.
There shall be suspension of
police enforcement of parking meter regulations for meters on all beach
blocks, both side of Atlantic Avenue, North New Haven Avenue from
Ventnor to Winchester Avenues and all residential parking meters during
to off-season beginning October 1 thru May 31.
WHEREAS, the
year-round operation of parking meters located in front of and along the
side of all business located in commercial districts on both sides of
Ventnor Avenue, both sides of Dorset Avenue and the Municipal Parking
Lot shall remain in full force and effect, except during the above
stated Holiday Season.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by
the Ventnor City Board of Commissioners that this Resolution shall amend
Resolution # 129 of 1990 in its entirety and further, that all other
parking regulations such as, but not limited to, street cleaning, fire
zones, prohibited parking, loading or time restricted zones shall not be
effected by this Resolution and shall remain in full force and effect.
This resolution shall take effect
immediately and shall remain until such time as an amending or
rescinding Resolution is adopted.
